✅ Remember This Answer
- Quick stop? Both brakes together
- Front brake? Squeeze firmly — never grab
- Curve? Slow, Look, Roll, Press
- To lean/turn? Press the grip toward the turn
- Swerve? Brake before or after — never during
- Hazard plan? SIPDE — Scan, Identify, Predict, Decide, Execute
✅ Remember This Answer (2)
- Starts to rain? Ride in cars' tire tracks
- Railroad tracks? Cross straight, within your lane
- Tailgater behind you? Let them pass
- Cut reaction time? Cover the clutch and both brakes
- Be seen by day? Headlight on, bright reflective gear
- Light won't turn green? Proceed with caution after one cycle
⚠️ Common Test Traps
- "No room to stop" → Swerve — don't just brake harder
- "Stop fastest" → Both brakes — not front alone, not rear first
- "Brake while swerving" → Wrong — brake before or after only
- "Following distance" → 4 sec; 5+ when wet or crowded
- "Turning steps order" → Slow, Look, ROLL, then PRESS
- "Eye protection required?" → No — only the helmet is
⚠️ More Test Traps
- "Curve ahead, too fast" → Slow before — don't brake hard mid-curve
- "Lane splitting" → Illegal — but two motorcycles may ride abreast
- "Chased by a dog" → Slow, downshift, then accelerate away
- "Carrying a passenger" → Ride slower, start slowing earlier
- "Sober up fast" → Only time works — not coffee
- "Moped passenger" → Never — it's against the law
🚨 Emergency Situations
- Front tire flat → Steering feels heavy; hold grips, ease off, keep straight
- Rear tire flat → Back jerks or sways; brake the good tire gently
- Stuck throttle → Twist it; if stuck, cut-off switch + pull the clutch
- Wobble → Close throttle gradually — don't brake, don't accelerate
- Front wheel locks → Release the front brake, then reapply
- Rear wheel skids → Release the rear brake, then reapply
🌧️ Surfaces, Weather & Night
- Pavement is most slippery just after rain starts
- Slippery surface: slow before it, both brakes gently
- Rain: ride in cars' tire tracks (often the left track)
- Cross parallel seams or tracks at 45° to 90°
- Night: ride slower; high beam unless following or meeting a car
- Fog: use your low beam only
🏍️ Motorcycle Control
- Countersteer: press left grip → lean left → go left
- Use both brakes every stop — the front gives 70%+ of the power
- Corner in four steps: SLOW · LOOK · ROLL · PRESS
- Slow tight turn: lean the bike only, keep your body straight
- Friction zone: where the clutch sends power to the rear wheel
- Head-check your blind spot before every lane change
🍺 Alcohol & Impairment
- Under the influence0.08% BAC
- Under 21Zero tolerance
- Leaves the body~1 drink per hour
- Only remedyTime
- As little as one drink hurts judgment, vision and reaction
- Coffee, showers and exercise do NOT sober you up
🎯 Last-Minute Before the Test
- Both brakes to stop — front brake = 70%+ of power
- Every curve: SLOW · LOOK · ROLL · PRESS
- Press the grip toward the turn to lean (countersteer)
- Brake OR swerve — never both at once
- Follow at 4 seconds — 5+ when wet or crowded
- Helmet always; headlight always on; eye protection just advised
- SIPDE = Scan, Identify, Predict, Decide, Execute
