New residents: Must obtain Oklahoma license within when establishing residency of moving to Oklahoma (Oklahoma Driver Manual)
Renewal: License can be issued for 4 or 8 years. Expires on the last day of the month. Can renew up to 1 year before expiration (Chapter 2). Expired more than 1 year requires full re-testing (vision, written, driving). Military personnel may renew by mail or within 60 days of return to Oklahoma (Chapter 2).
