💡 The lowest speeding fine is $100 + $5 public-safety surcharge + $50 head-injury surcharge. If you go more than 10 mph over the limit, add $10 for each additional mph. 3 speeding violations in 12 months = automatic 30-day suspension. JOL 1st speeding offense = 90-day suspension; subsequent = 1 year.

⚠️ Refusing a chemical test is INDEPENDENT of an OUI conviction. Even if you win the OUI case in court, the refusal suspension still applies. If you have 2+ OUI offenses you must use an Ignition Interlock Device for the entire hardship-license period plus 2 years after reinstatement.

💡 It is illegal to drive by or park within 800 feet of a fire. Move-Over Law: when approaching a stopped emergency vehicle with flashing lights, slow down and move over a lane on a 4+ lane highway.
